DESCRIPTION:Chandigarh\, 14 Sep 2024 – Indian IDT Expert Vineet Raj Kapoor as Expert Lead at Worldskills 2024 Lyon France. \nSep 13 Worldskills France\nChandigarh Design School Founder\, and SXILL Cofounder Vineet Raj Kapoor reach Lyon on 5 September 2024 to discharge his duties as Expert Lead as part of the Skill Management Team for Industrial Design Technology. The Indian Candidate Abhin Mittal finished in 5th Position in Industrial Design Technology at Worldskills France. \nThe Skill Management Team is formed of select experts from different nations\, and they collaborate to work towards having a successful Worldskills competition. They are involved in various aspect of the conduction of the Skill Competition. The current Skill Management Team in Worldskills IDT consists of Experts from China\, Taiwan\, Korea and India. During the Competition he was also proposed as Chief Expert for the next Worldskills for which elections would be held. \nHe attended every meeting at the WSI France\, and contributed positively to every meeting and well as brought forth important ideas which were implemented to ensure smooth conduct of the competition. The current CE both liked and welcomed his ideas and implemented them right away. Whenever there was an issue with the marking scheme\, he contributed proactively instead of waiting for it to peter out. He even brought serious issues to attention of the CCD without disrupting the competition or demanding immediate resolve\, since he understands that slips can happen\, and the idea is to improve. \nHe personally motivated and encouraged each of the IDT competitors and handled them calmly during issues. \nWorldskills – LRDC Statium Lyon France\nPost competition\, he provided prompt feedback and wrote a detailed mail as well as prepared a presentation to share the issues so that we can improve in future. \nHe has been to World’s Top Design Colleges including Sheridan College\, Canada\, Gobelins\, France\, NUST MISIS\, Russia\, as well as Konkuk University\, Kyung Hee University and others at South Korea and understands the difference in practices across the world\, and have the sensitivity to deal with it. Currently he runs his own design studio\, as well as training institute and have also been in touch with a lot of students and teachers from across the world\, often exchanging ideas and advice. \nHe has been the Founding Dean at Chitkara Design School (2016-2023). He has worked in technical as well as management side of corporate sector too. With a lot of experience behind him\, he could handle the duties of Lead Expert very well. \nApplauding his achievement SXILL Founder Neelu Kapoor mentioned\, “Vineet’s zeal to work with students is unbeatable. He is able to get to their level and simplify things. The candidates trained by him performed exceptionally well in Indian and International Competitions.” India finished at within Top 5 positions in IDT at Worldskills 2024 at France.” \n“Whether I work with my own students or the top students of India nominated by the government\, my training methodology remains the same. Help students understand how they are going to be judged and they develop them to maximize they response to each aspect of every criterion of judgement. The Jury included Mr. Karthik from Autodesk\, Dr. Ravindra Singh from Delhi Technical University\, Mr. Vikash Kumar from Shiv Nadar University\, and Raunaq Dua from Curiosity 3D. \nThe Inauguration took place at the Convention Hall at Yashobhoomi on 15 May 2024. The competition commenced on 16 May till 18 May 2024. The Event culminated with the Closing ceremony on 19 May 2024. The Winner would represent India at Worldskills France from 10-15 September 2024.

Participants from 26 states/ union territories displayed their talent in 54 skills such as design\, graphics\, beauty therapy\, cyber security\, floristry robot system integration\, cloud computing\, water technology\, painting and decorating\, health and social care\, among others. The candidates will compete against more than 1\,400 participants from over 60 countries competing in 63 skills. A biennial competition\, WorldSkills Competition has become popular over the years and is a global hub for skill excellence\, bringing together skilled youth of diverse backgrounds and nations. \nIndiaSkills Competition is organised by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)\, an apex skill development organisation working under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). IndiaSkills\, the country’s biggest skill competition\, is designed to demonstrate the highest standards of skilling and offers a platform to young people to showcase their talent at national and international levels. IndiaSkills Competition—regional and national—is held every two years with the support of state governments\, industry\, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs)\, State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs)\, corporates and partner institutes. IndiaSkills Competition has the potential to reach the grassroot level and make an impact. \nWorldskills 2024 would take place at Lyon\, France from 10-15 September 2024. The issue is more about the gamification losing track due to changed Reality. As a gamifier our task should be to get Reality back to track or Rather\, tween the system according to the Reality (NeoReality) – actually both. \nThis is useful for afficianados of Gamification who would try to find answers / solutions through Gamification and are many times surprised by lack of workability of solutions. I would cover environment issues which impact solutions differently in different environments. For e.g. Social work is voluntary\, employment is not (even though prima facie evidence points to volutarism element of the employment system). This is not a academic discussion – it has direct implications for practitioners from the fields of military\, corporate\, education. \nIf possible\, I would like to share a case study as a take away. However let me see how it shapes up.

DESCRIPTION:Judge at North Zone Grand Supermodel 2017 \nNorth India’s Grand Supermodel 2017\, organized by Le Pionniers\, turned to be a glamorous affair at the North Country Mall\, Kharar on August 19th. It kick-started at 8:00 PM\, to pave the way for young budding models to the Bollywood industry. \nSahil Sethi\, the CEO of the company said\, “It gives us great joy to help others realize their dreams\, but often they lose hope due to the dirty game of the glamorous industry. We are here to take that pain and pave an easy way for our budding talent.” He further added that the recent graduates from NIIFT Ludhiana had designed the dresses worn by the candidates and concluded\, “If we are onto a project we are fully on it covering every aspect of it\, as goes for this fashion talent show we would like to give a platform to every deserving talent.” \nThe panel of judges saw two international models- Neelam Garg\, who also being a choreographer has bagged many awards under her name and Ruby Singh\, who is an actress and winner of many beauty pageants. The other judges comprised of Ritu Dogra (Model\, Actresses\, Professional Groomer)\, Shruti Jamaal (Fashion designer\,owner of the brand- Scarlet) and Vineet Raj Kapoor (Delegate Head for India in Ace Fair Festival South Korea\, Dean of Chitkara University). \nThere were in all 25 candidates which were selected from 1000s of entries. The candidates further had to go through 3 rounds- the ethnic round\, western round and the fusion round. Their performance in each round was assessed and calculated and the candidates with the highest scores were awarded a breath-taking trophy and a certificate and an acting scholarship by I.C.E (which is an acting institute by Ekta Kapoor). \nimg_4228Harbinder Singh and Tania Kapronova bagged the title of North India’s Grand Supermodel 2017 in Male and Female category respectively The other winners were Dushant Kumar (1st Runner Up-Male)\, Nidhisha Bhalla (1st Runner Up-Female)\, Ashwin Verma (2nd Runner Up-Male) and Ashima (2nd Runner Up-Female). This was not all\, the event also did acknowledge the leading aspects in the contestants and bestow titles; Maninder Singh (Best Walk-Male)\, Tania Mahajan (Best Walk-Female)\, Romik Tamu (Best Smile-Male) and Trisha Kapoor (Best Smile-Female)\, Abhimanyu Sharma (Perfect Personality-Male) and Isha Bhardwaj (Perfect Personality-Female). The viewer’s awards: Platinum Viewer’s Award\, Gold Viewer’s Award and Silver Viewer’s Award\, went to Abhimanyu Sharma and Tania Mahajan\, Romik Tamu and Isha Bhardwaj\, and Abhi Verma and Nisha Dutta respectively. \nNeelam Garg concluded on the note praising the organizers and the committee and said that we further need such platforms for the young talents so that they can take calculated risk and further fulfil their dreams and ambitions. \nThere were also some questions asked from the crowd and the winner was awarded a Raj Photograph 50% off bumper prize and a local onlooker also left the crowd in awe with his mellow voice by singing a classical Panjabi song.
