DESCRIPTION:Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor take a keynote session on User Experience Design at IT Park Chandigarh hosted by Netsolutions. \nMr. Vineet Raj Kapoor\, who designed his first game in the early 80s\, gave a talk you’d not expect in a traditional UI/UX discourse. He’s one of those who believe that UX has been there for a very long time\, even when there were no websites and mobile applications. He believes that empathy is one of the major aspects of UX\, something absolutely necessary to make good design. However\, empathy\, though necessary\, is very difficult to invoke. \nMr Vineet Raj Kapoor also shared that designing experiences right away is a rather bad idea. It takes time to understand contexts that surround the design of the experience. Unless you have become experienced\, you cannot make good design. \nHe began illustrating his talk with examples from the very map of the City Beautiful\, a typical example of user experience design. He shared how “leading the eye” becomes as much a tenet in user experience as it does in a map of a city. T-points are important; that’s where you aim to focus the user’s eye. \nMr. Kapoor shared examples of David Ogilvey\, who credited all of his learning in advertising to his first job as a chef\, Steve Jobs’ making of the iPhone\, and Walt Disney’s creation of the Disneyland. DESCRIPTION:A tribute was played to Mirza Ghalib\,great poet\,his life and work were paid a superb tribute on January 17th\, 2018 at a national seminar which took place in MCM DAV College for women.The function was a joint celebration of 50 years of college’s foundation along with celebrating \,220 years of Mirza Galib lending an atmosphere of jubilation to the discourse on the great poet. \nThe talks which were given by renowned scholars from Jamia Islamia University and PU were followed by a set of performances by students and teachers of MCM\, Qawwali and a rendition by a special faculty member who passed out from MCM years back and has done the college proud. \nThe chief guest of the event\, Guljeet Singh Chaddha gave a gracious speech\, giving his blessings to the entire gathering. The last leg of the function consisted of the young raring to go poets of Mukhtalif\, MCM’s very own poetry society which took to the stage to translate Ghalib’s Urdu poetry\, followed by an analytical critique of their translations by a connoisseur of Ghalib\, Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor \nReference Article: Click Here

DESCRIPTION:Judge at North Zone Grand Supermodel 2017 \nNorth India’s Grand Supermodel 2017\, organized by Le Pionniers\, turned to be a glamorous affair at the North Country Mall\, Kharar on August 19th. It kick-started at 8:00 PM\, to pave the way for young budding models to the Bollywood industry. \nSahil Sethi\, the CEO of the company said\, “It gives us great joy to help others realize their dreams\, but often they lose hope due to the dirty game of the glamorous industry. We are here to take that pain and pave an easy way for our budding talent.” He further added that the recent graduates from NIIFT Ludhiana had designed the dresses worn by the candidates and concluded\, “If we are onto a project we are fully on it covering every aspect of it\, as goes for this fashion talent show we would like to give a platform to every deserving talent.” \nThe panel of judges saw two international models- Neelam Garg\, who also being a choreographer has bagged many awards under her name and Ruby Singh\, who is an actress and winner of many beauty pageants. The other judges comprised of Ritu Dogra (Model\, Actresses\, Professional Groomer)\, Shruti Jamaal (Fashion designer\,owner of the brand- Scarlet) and Vineet Raj Kapoor (Delegate Head for India in Ace Fair Festival South Korea\, Dean of Chitkara University). \nThere were in all 25 candidates which were selected from 1000s of entries. The candidates further had to go through 3 rounds- the ethnic round\, western round and the fusion round. Their performance in each round was assessed and calculated and the candidates with the highest scores were awarded a breath-taking trophy and a certificate and an acting scholarship by I.C.E (which is an acting institute by Ekta Kapoor). \nimg_4228Harbinder Singh and Tania Kapronova bagged the title of North India’s Grand Supermodel 2017 in Male and Female category respectively The other winners were Dushant Kumar (1st Runner Up-Male)\, Nidhisha Bhalla (1st Runner Up-Female)\, Ashwin Verma (2nd Runner Up-Male) and Ashima (2nd Runner Up-Female). This was not all\, the event also did acknowledge the leading aspects in the contestants and bestow titles; Maninder Singh (Best Walk-Male)\, Tania Mahajan (Best Walk-Female)\, Romik Tamu (Best Smile-Male) and Trisha Kapoor (Best Smile-Female)\, Abhimanyu Sharma (Perfect Personality-Male) and Isha Bhardwaj (Perfect Personality-Female). The viewer’s awards: Platinum Viewer’s Award\, Gold Viewer’s Award and Silver Viewer’s Award\, went to Abhimanyu Sharma and Tania Mahajan\, Romik Tamu and Isha Bhardwaj\, and Abhi Verma and Nisha Dutta respectively. \nNeelam Garg concluded on the note praising the organizers and the committee and said that we further need such platforms for the young talents so that they can take calculated risk and further fulfil their dreams and ambitions. \nThere were also some questions asked from the crowd and the winner was awarded a Raj Photograph 50% off bumper prize and a local onlooker also left the crowd in awe with his mellow voice by singing a classical Panjabi song. The event surely did change the life of many. \n
