We trained them in various approaches to success in Animation and UI UX Careers. Being a practitioner and trainer of UX Design and Design Thinking since 2014\, I was aware of the huge gap between theory and practice that exists in India even in the top institutes. So we focused on problem finding right from the start\, and also about developing personas\, and taking it from there to concept design\, while passing through various phases like user journey mapping and other steps.” He quipped\, “Don’t worry all this would be part of my upcoming book – SOLVXD: Think in Steps – that would be coming out soon. \nVenu\, a 2nd Year student of Bachelors in Animation\, stated that\, “I lacked confidence in my abilities\, but after Vineet Sir’s talk\, I feel motivated enough to take on any challenge. DESCRIPTION:ACE Fair was held on 26-29 September 2024 at Kimdaejung Centre\, Gwangju\, South Korea.  \nIndian Delegation City Tour ACE Fair Gwangju South Korea\nThe Indian Delegation led by Vineet Raj Kapoor (Founder SXILL & Chandigarh Design School) had delegates from Media Guru\, Mumbai (Subhashish Mazumdar)\, Powertoons\, Hyderabad (Ashish Saxena)\, MESC India\, New Delhi (Roshni Sehgal)\, Mugafi\, Mumbai (Vipul Aggarwal & Tansha Batra)\, Elle Animation\, Bhubhaneshwar (Chandrashekhar Bhuyan & Santosh Reddy)\, Ssoftoons Entertainment and Media\, Kolkata (Hansa & Sourav Mondal)\, Just VFX\, Hyderabad (Sridhar Reddy)\, Snipix\, Hyderabad (Chilamkurthi Vamsi)\, Start Animation\, Hyderabad (Rakesh) and Khaja Vali (TVAGA\, Hyderabad) were part of the large delegation from India by Virtualsoft. Other Indian studios were Bhasinsoft Studios\, Alliance Studios\, Aha\, and Crossover Studios.  \nTVAGA pavillion was part of the Indian delegation and helped smaller Studios from Telengana showcase their work and get exposure about international markets. Indians represented one of the largest International contingents at ACE Fair this time.  \nStart Animation Studios\, India signed an MoU with an International Studio on 27 Sep\, 2024 during the MoU signing ceremony.  \nThe Studios had between 12-20 pre-arranged B2B meetings each. Each participating studio was picked up (and dropped back) from Incheon Airport\, Seoul and provided with a full time interpreter as well as a free ticket to the CDC Conference. They were also invited to a grand welcome party on the opening day.  \nOn Day 3\, the Studios were all invited to a city tour to Gwangju Biennale\, and after a sumptuous Bibimbap lunch at a traditional Korean restaurant went to visit Yangnim Dong Culture Village.  \nThe night time was a time of bonding with other Indian Studios and helped them understand each other’s capabilities and possibilities of collaboration.  \n“Our visit to the ACE Fair 2024 in Gwangju\, Korea\, was nothing short of exceptional. DESCRIPTION:Chandigarh\, 14 Sep 2024 – Indian IDT Expert Vineet Raj Kapoor as Expert Lead at Worldskills 2024 Lyon France. \nSep 13 Worldskills France\nChandigarh Design School Founder\, and SXILL Cofounder Vineet Raj Kapoor reach Lyon on 5 September 2024 to discharge his duties as Expert Lead as part of the Skill Management Team for Industrial Design Technology. The Indian Candidate Abhin Mittal finished in 5th Position in Industrial Design Technology at Worldskills France. \nThe Skill Management Team is formed of select experts from different nations\, and they collaborate to work towards having a successful Worldskills competition. They are involved in various aspect of the conduction of the Skill Competition. The current Skill Management Team in Worldskills IDT consists of Experts from China\, Taiwan\, Korea and India. During the Competition he was also proposed as Chief Expert for the next Worldskills for which elections would be held. \nHe attended every meeting at the WSI France\, and contributed positively to every meeting and well as brought forth important ideas which were implemented to ensure smooth conduct of the competition. The current CE both liked and welcomed his ideas and implemented them right away. Whenever there was an issue with the marking scheme\, he contributed proactively instead of waiting for it to peter out. He even brought serious issues to attention of the CCD without disrupting the competition or demanding immediate resolve\, since he understands that slips can happen\, and the idea is to improve. \nHe personally motivated and encouraged each of the IDT competitors and handled them calmly during issues. \nWorldskills – LRDC Statium Lyon France\nPost competition\, he provided prompt feedback and wrote a detailed mail as well as prepared a presentation to share the issues so that we can improve in future. \nHe has been to World’s Top Design Colleges including Sheridan College\, Canada\, Gobelins\, France\, NUST MISIS\, Russia\, as well as Konkuk University\, Kyung Hee University and others at South Korea and understands the difference in practices across the world\, and have the sensitivity to deal with it. DESCRIPTION:Chandigarh\, 28 Feb 2024 – ASIFA presented the IAD Event at MCM DAV College for Girls at Sec 36 on 28 Feb 2024\, co-presented by ASIFA Evangelist Vineet Raj Kapoor\, alongwith the leading UX Design Institute Chandigarh Design School\, and leading Animation Institute SXILL\, and supported by AnimationXpress\, Workkonnects\, MESC\, ACE Fair\, iXDA. ASIFA is an International Community of Animation\, with a mission of creating awareness of Animation Careers amongst students. \nPGGC 46 hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 31 Jan 2024. PGGCG 42 successfully hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 1 Feb 2024. PGGCG 11 successfully hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 8 Feb 2024. MCM DAV 36 successfully hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 28 Feb 2024. \nThe Speakers were Mangat Chauhan (Sr. Animation Supervisor Motu Patlu and Mentor SXILL) and Vineet Raj Kapoor (UX Design Mentor at Chandigarh Design School). \nNeelu Kapoor\, Founder SXILL graced the occasion with her presence. \nBikramjit Singh (Production Head\, Virtualsoft) shared the History of ASIFA and it’s mission. He commented on how ASIFA works hard to bring awareness about these careers across the world. ASIFA Chandigarh has been conducting various seminars across the city to do it’s part. \nMangat Chauhan briefed the students about the entire animation pipeline and various career opportunities across the entire process of making animation movies. \nVineet Raj Kapoor\, Founder Chandigarh Design School\, told the students about various Design Careers as well as how to make their own roadmaps to achieve success in those careers. He briefed the student on how decision making permeates all careers and would be a useful addition to any worthwhile career. \nThereafter the students asked about various careers in their mind right from mimicry to storywriting to animation to UX design and got clear roadmaps as well as advice to make a success of their dreams through examples behind the success stories of Steve Jobs\, and other leaders.

This was followed by welcome address by Prof. Anjali Aggarwal\, and then the address by Professor Shri. Pramod\, HOD\, Government College of Arts\, Sec 10\, who express his delight on the event and the opportunity to the art student to absorb the latest developments in the market. Thereafter Mr. Bikramjit Singh\, Coordinator GO48 then presented the exciting opportunities presented by GO48 International to the audience. \nPanel Discussion with Guests Mr. Pradeep (Incredimate)\,Ms. Neelu Kapoor (SXILL)\, Prof. Anand Sharma (GCA)\, Dr. Walia (PEC)\, and Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor (Chandigarh Design School). The panel was hosted by Mr. Bikramjit Singh\, who conducted the panel directly through student’s questions about the field. Students especially asked about creating professional portfolios\, and also about the impact of AI and strategies to handle the same. \nThis was followed by the Art Exhibition at Arts College which was reviewed by the eminent guests. The guests went through the art exhibition and spoke to each artist understanding their process. \nThereafter there were two expert sessions. \nFirst\, Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor\, the Founder of Chandigarh Design School\, told the audience about the UXUI Sector and the opportunities it brings for the designers. He also shared many incidents from his life\, and also the lives of great leaders and how they used UX Design to resolve mammoth problems faced by humanity. \nParminder Singh\, Mentor SXILLUP\, enlightened the audience about Animation\, and how a student should go about cracking the Hollywood Studio interviews. He shared many incidents from the great animator’s lives to educate the students about the kind of preparation made by top animations. And if possible play a game to think our way out of a problem. remember\, that the core of gamification is involuntariness and my actionable plan is about building choices into any process including delivering of knowledge/ learning. \nIf possible\, I would like to share a case study as a take away. I think we have seen Vineet contribute a lot over the past decades in the fields of design\, animation and innovation. They invited renowned Speaker and Design Thinking Vineet Raj Kapoor\, Founder\, Chandigarh Design School. \n  \nThis Program was attended by all Faculty Associated with Innovation in the App Space. \n  \nSpread over 2 Days the Program delved into the Way Humans Think\, and right upto how we can use established techniques to understand the users\, and find out enough about them and the issues they face\, to be able to locate the real issue that needs to be solved. \n  \nVineet Raj Kapoor (Indian IDT Expert Worldskills\, and Founder Chandigarh Design School) shared “I am happy to get involved with the CSE department as the impact of the learning would directly reach the innovators in the digital app space. We covered the approach to Divergent Thinking and User Research for finding the pain points. And then techniques to converge the thinking towards defining the problem. Problems once identified can be solved easily.” \n  \nDr. Ankit Bansal who heads the Innovation Program said “This was a excellent exposure with really good insights into the process. Earlier we would go directly to building the apps on what we thought was the issue. But this has widened our horizon. We have understood how much research must be done before attempting the solution. ACE Fair is promoted by the Korean Government\, and is considered the biggest Contents Fair of Asia. The Fair is being held from 14-17  September 2023. \nThe Participation Fee was reduced for Indian Delegation and further incentives were added for Group\, Reparticipants\, and Women Entrepreneurs. The Participation Fee includes an Exhibition Stall and also had FREE (part sponsored) Air Ticket\, Hotel Stay and Limousine Pick and Drop for Participants.
