DESCRIPTION:Chandigarh\, 14 Sep 2024 – Indian IDT Expert Vineet Raj Kapoor as Expert Lead at Worldskills 2024 Lyon France. \nSep 13 Worldskills France\nChandigarh Design School Founder\, and SXILL Cofounder Vineet Raj Kapoor reach Lyon on 5 September 2024 to discharge his duties as Expert Lead as part of the Skill Management Team for Industrial Design Technology. The Indian Candidate Abhin Mittal finished in 5th Position in Industrial Design Technology at Worldskills France. \nThe Skill Management Team is formed of select experts from different nations\, and they collaborate to work towards having a successful Worldskills competition. They are involved in various aspect of the conduction of the Skill Competition. The current Skill Management Team in Worldskills IDT consists of Experts from China\, Taiwan\, Korea and India. During the Competition he was also proposed as Chief Expert for the next Worldskills for which elections would be held. \nHe attended every meeting at the WSI France\, and contributed positively to every meeting and well as brought forth important ideas which were implemented to ensure smooth conduct of the competition. The current CE both liked and welcomed his ideas and implemented them right away. Whenever there was an issue with the marking scheme\, he contributed proactively instead of waiting for it to peter out. He even brought serious issues to attention of the CCD without disrupting the competition or demanding immediate resolve\, since he understands that slips can happen\, and the idea is to improve. \nHe personally motivated and encouraged each of the IDT competitors and handled them calmly during issues. \nWorldskills – LRDC Statium Lyon France\nPost competition\, he provided prompt feedback and wrote a detailed mail as well as prepared a presentation to share the issues so that we can improve in future. \nHe has been to World’s Top Design Colleges including Sheridan College\, Canada\, Gobelins\, France\, NUST MISIS\, Russia\, as well as Konkuk University\, Kyung Hee University and others at South Korea and understands the difference in practices across the world\, and have the sensitivity to deal with it. Currently he runs his own design studio\, as well as training institute and have also been in touch with a lot of students and teachers from across the world\, often exchanging ideas and advice. \nHe has been the Founding Dean at Chitkara Design School (2016-2023). He has worked in technical as well as management side of corporate sector too. With a lot of experience behind him\, he could handle the duties of Lead Expert very well. \nApplauding his achievement SXILL Founder Neelu Kapoor mentioned\, “Vineet’s zeal to work with students is unbeatable. He is able to get to their level and simplify things. The candidates trained by him performed exceptionally well in Indian and International Competitions.” India finished at within Top 5 positions in IDT at Worldskills 2024 at France.” \n“Whether I work with my own students or the top students of India nominated by the government\, my training methodology remains the same. We took care to equip them with enough examples and cases so as to be able to retain the information and put it in perspective since Design Thinking is a complex subject and is largely misrepresented. We trained them in various approaches to Design Thinking\, and especially sensitized and trained them in the toughest field of empathetic thinking\, since that is what most UX Designers in India lack. Being a practitioner and trainer of UX Design and Design Thinking since 2014\, I feel responsible for the state of UIUX Design in India. Despite our best efforts\, a large swathe of Industry as well as trainers are unaware of the possibilities of UX Design and think about it as a burden. Experts from across the country would be part of the Skill Management Team. The Jury included Mr. Karthik from Autodesk\, Dr. Ravindra Singh from Delhi Technical University\, Mr. Vikash Kumar from Shiv Nadar University\, and Raunaq Dua from Curiosity 3D. \nThe Inauguration took place at the Convention Hall at Yashobhoomi on 15 May 2024. The competition commenced on 16 May till 18 May 2024. The Event culminated with the Closing ceremony on 19 May 2024. The Winner would represent India at Worldskills France from 10-15 September 2024.

He was lauded for the exemplary work done by him in Worldskills International Invitational Competition in China. \nInternational (Shenzhen) Invitational Competition is part of the preparation for Worldskills that is being held in September 2024 at Lyon France. \nFounded in 1950\, WorldSkills is the global hub for skills excellence and development. WorldSkills brings youth\, industries\, and educators together to give youth the chance to compete\, experience\, and learn how to become the best in their skill of choice. From the traditional trades to multi-skilled technology careers in the industry and service sectors\, supported by partners\, industries\, governments\, volunteers\, and educational institutions\, WorldSkills’ vision is to improve the world through the power of skills. It has 85 member countries and regions\, all working with youth\, educators\, governments\, and industries to help prepare the workforce and talent of today for the jobs of the future. \nIndiaSkills 2023 National Competition was held from 16-18 May 2024 at Yashobhoomi\, Dwarka\, New Delhi. Participants from 26 states/ union territories displayed their talent in 54 skills such as design\, graphics\, beauty therapy\, cyber security\, floristry robot system integration\, cloud computing\, water technology\, painting and decorating\, health and social care\, among others. The candidates will compete against more than 1\,400 participants from over 60 countries competing in 63 skills. A biennial competition\, WorldSkills Competition has become popular over the years and is a global hub for skill excellence\, bringing together skilled youth of diverse backgrounds and nations. \nIndiaSkills Competition is organised by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)\, an apex skill development organisation working under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). IndiaSkills\, the country’s biggest skill competition\, is designed to demonstrate the highest standards of skilling and offers a platform to young people to showcase their talent at national and international levels. IndiaSkills Competition—regional and national—is held every two years with the support of state governments\, industry\, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs)\, State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs)\, corporates and partner institutes. IndiaSkills Competition has the potential to reach the grassroot level and make an impact. \nWorldskills 2024 would take place at Lyon\, France from 10-15 September 2024. This was followed by welcome address by Prof. Anjali Aggarwal\, and then the address by Professor Shri. Pramod\, HOD\, Government College of Arts\, Sec 10\, who express his delight on the event and the opportunity to the art student to absorb the latest developments in the market. Thereafter Mr. Bikramjit Singh\, Coordinator GO48 then presented the exciting opportunities presented by GO48 International to the audience. \nPanel Discussion with Guests Mr. Pradeep (Incredimate)\,Ms. Neelu Kapoor (SXILL)\, Prof. Anand Sharma (GCA)\, Dr. Walia (PEC)\, and Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor (Chandigarh Design School). An MESC Certification is a Government recognition of the training Quality and would be useful for the students in the long run.\n  \nIndustry Leader Mr. Pradeep CEO of Incredimate was the Guest of Honor for 3D Modeller as well as Animator QP at the Convocation\nIndustry Leader Mr. Pradeep CEO of Incredimate was the Guest of Honor for 3D Modeller as well as Animator QP at the Convocation. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the students as well as the faculty at SXILL. He was overjoyed with the tour of the facility. He shared his our life journey as well as inspired the students with tips for success in life as an animator. \nPooja Arora\, Head North Region for MESC (Media and Entertainment Skill Council) was the Guest of Honor for Graphic Designer QP at the Convocation.\nPooja Arora\, Head North Region for MESC (Media and Entertainment Skill Council) was the Guest of Honor for Graphic Designer QP at the Convocation. She shared her experiences of working alongside the Experts at SXILL during Indiaskills in 2021-2022. She found that the Expertise at SXILL was way above that she normally finds at training institutes. She also shared information about Worldskills with the students and also MECAT and other initiatives being taken by MESC to encourage designers. \nThe names of the graduates were announced by respective Heads of Program and Indiaskills Experts Mr. Parminder Singh (Modeller and Animator QP) and Bikramjit Singh (Graphic Designer QP). \nIndustry Delegates Pradeep Incredimate Pooja MESC and Neelu SXILL took the stage at the SXILL Convocation\nNeelu Kapoor (Indian Graphics Expert Indiaskills\, and Founder SXILL) shared “I am happy that the students got their Certificates directly from the Industry Experts. I am sure this moment will be remembered by them for years. Also MESC has been a great support for us in bringing quality education to the students of India.
