The learning would be powered by SXILL. \nThis pact\, signed on 13 January 2023\, marks an important date in the history of Animation learning in North India\, and would provide access to the worldclass training system and resources developed by SXILL and curated by Chandigarh Design School\, backed by the excellent infrastructure available at Vidyajyoti Eduversity\, situated bang on the Chandigarh Ambala road. This would fulfill the long standing demand of students wanting an institution with involvement of Industry\, and that too on a mainstream location with easy access to public transport. \nMr. Vineet Raj Kapoor is currently highly involved in the Design and Innovation space as India’s nominated Expert for Worldskills competition\, amongst other duties. Speaking on the occasion he shared\, “Chandigarh Design School training methodology is being backed by the Top Studios of India who are directly involved in guiding students on an individual basis every semester. Under the Invitation these are the positive outcomes expected:\n1. They (NCIDI) would organize the excursion to their design studio and production site.\n2. Our students can participate in the contest on design modelling ‘Design Challenge’\, where they would provide the place for work\, Wi-Fi\, the food and the mentor\n3. A 30 minute session by the Expert\, Vineet Raj Kapoor\, on Design\, at the International Industrial Design Day Celebration by WDO. \nWorld Industrial Design Day \nThis annual day of observance is held every 29 June\, WDO’s anniversary\, for industrial designers\, academics\, design students and non-designers impacted by the power if industrial design on a daily basis. This day of observance promotes awareness and the celebration of industrial design\, encouraging WDO Members and non-members to hold events such as exhibitions\, panels\, workshops\, open houses and other social functions. \nFrom 2009 to 2011\, an annual student poster competition was held for WDO’s Educational student members to participate; this activity concluded once the official World Industrial Design Day logo was introduced by WDO. Each year\, a theme is determined by the WDO Board of Directors and announced months in advance of 29 June in order for companies\, associations\, design schools and design agencies to plan their activities and outreach.
