PGGCG 42 successfully hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 1 Feb 2024. \nThe Speakers were Mangat Chauhan (Sr. Animation Supervisor Motu Patlu and Mentor SXILL) and Vineet Raj Kapoor (UX Design Mentor at Chandigarh Design School). \nNeelu Kapoor\, Founder SXILL graced the occasion with her presence. \nBikramjit Singh (Production Head\, Virtualsoft) shared the History of ASIFA and it’s mission. He commented on how ASIFA works hard to bring awareness about these careers across the world. ASIFA Chandigarh has been conducting various seminars across the city to do it’s part. \nMangat Chauhan briefed the students about the entire animation pipeline and various career opportunities across the entire process of making animation movies. \nVineet Raj Kapoor\, Founder Chandigarh Design School\, told the students about various Design Careers as well as how to make their own roadmaps to achieve success in those careers. He briefed the student on how decision making permeates all careers and would be a useful addition to any worthwhile career. \nThereafter the students asked about various careers in their mind right from mimicry to storywriting to animation to UX design and got clear roadmaps as well as advice to make a success of their dreams through examples behind the success stories of Steve Jobs\, and other leaders.

DESCRIPTION:SAE Dubai signs MoU with SXILL and Chandigarh Design School\nWorldskills Industrial Design Expert Prof. Vineet Raj Kapoor on behalf of Chandigarh Design School and Indiaskills GDT Jury Expert Neelu Kapoor on behalf of SXILL signed an Memorandum of Unde \nSAE Dubai signs MoU with SXILL and Chandigarh Design School\nrstanding with SAE Dubai (a reputed University at Dubai) recently at SAE’s Dubai Campus World leading Design Institute SAE’s Dubai Campus has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Chandigarh Design School and SXILL. \nWhile taking the Founders on a Tour of their beautiful campus located at Dubai Knowledge Park (near Palm Jumeirah) at Dubai\, United Arab Emirates\, Mr. Jan Horn remarked that with this initiative SAE is happy to step forward in the field of Design Thinking and UX UI design with the expertise of Chandigarh Design School and SXILL in the field of Design to deliver courses at their Dubai and Abu Dhabi campuses. \nUnder the arrangement SXILL and Chandigarh Design School shall be delivering classes for students enrolled by SAE\, Dubai\, in the highly specialized field of Design Thinking. This would be a great step for India’s Design Community into International Education. Erstwhile\, Indian Design community engaged foreign professors\, or foreign degree tieups to send their students abroad or exchange students. It is rare for foreigners to look to India to study (except for 3rd world countries). With this step SXILL steps into the International education sector on a strong footing. \nVineet Raj is currently highly involved in the Design and Innovation space as India’s nominated Expert for Worldskills competition and nominated Lead Expert by Worldskills International\, amongst other duties. Speaking on the occasion he shared\, “It is my dream to see Indian Innovation take a central place in the scheme of things across the world. need to build a complete ecosystem of innovation\, and see that these innovation see the light of the day based on their viability. More companies need to come forward and adopt these kids into their ecosystem and nurture them. I am sure\, it would be a win-win situation for both. We are helping out our local industry improve their designs and have been contacted by many original equipment manufacturers for this. We are open to helping out our competitors and peers implement this methodology at their Universities and Institutions. Our students have worked at the Top in leading organizations including Ericson\, Sony\, Yatra.com\, Gaana.com as well as Directed top animated shows like ‘Motu Patlu’ and even independent artists like Sukh-E the singer amongst others. Our alumnus own leading IT companies in the region like Intelligaia\, Trabug\, Creative Peppers etc.” \nProf. Vineet Raj Kapoor\, SXILL was also invited by FICCI in 2022 to represent the Indian Angle to Dubai Expo for the Round Table on “Fostering Skilling ecosystem by exchange of Knowledge\, service & resources” Media & Entertainment Skills Council\, (MESC)\, one the pioneer council for skill training for M&E domain\, hosted the Industry-Academia round table discussion in association with FICCI in Dubai.
