Chandigarh, 27 Oct 2023 – ASIFA presented the IAD Event at Government College of Arts on 27 Oct 2023, co-presented by ASIFA Evangelist Vineet Raj Kapoor, alongwith Chandigarh Design School, and SXILL, and supported by AnimationXpress, Workkonnects, MESC, ACE Fair, iXDA.

The Event started at 10:00 with the inauguration. This was followed by welcome address by Prof. Anjali Aggarwal, and then the address by Professor Shri. Pramod, HOD, Government College of Arts, Sec 10, who express his delight on the event and the opportunity to the art student to absorb the latest developments in the market. Thereafter Mr. Bikramjit Singh, Coordinator GO48 then presented the exciting opportunities presented by GO48 International to the audience.

Panel Discussion with Guests Mr. Pradeep (Incredimate),Ms. Neelu Kapoor (SXILL), Prof. Anand Sharma (GCA), Dr. Walia (PEC), and Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor (Chandigarh Design School). The panel was hosted by Mr. Bikramjit Singh, who conducted the panel directly through student’s questions about the field. Students especially asked about creating professional portfolios, and also about the impact of AI and strategies to handle the same.

This was followed by the Art Exhibition at Arts College which was reviewed by the eminent guests. The guests went through the art exhibition and spoke to each artist understanding their process.

Thereafter there were two expert sessions.

First, Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor, the Founder of Chandigarh Design School, told the audience about the UXUI Sector and the opportunities it brings for the designers. He also shared many incidents from his life, and also the lives of great leaders and how they used UX Design to resolve mammoth problems faced by humanity.

Parminder Singh, Mentor SXILLUP, enlightened the audience about Animation, and how a student should go about cracking the Hollywood Studio interviews. He shared many incidents from the great animator’s lives to educate the students about the kind of preparation made by top animations. He spilled the secrets behind those animators and even shared the books and relevant materials for those students who wanted to self learn.

iXDA Local Leader and Chandigarh Design School founder Vineet Raj Kapoor helped organize the iXDA Chandigarh Meetup on 1 December 2023 at 4:00 onwards at Chandigarh Design School, Sec 17 Chandigarh in association with SXILL.

The Event was Hosted by Local Leader Vineet Raj Kapoor. About 25+ UXD and IXD enthusiasts turned up including Dr. Susheel Chhabra (SD Business School), Muhammad Shahid, Vivek, Ar. Deepak Ghavri (Architect), Alok Jain (Front End Developer), Jaspreet Kaur (Front End Specialist), Bikramjit Singh (Project Manager), Jasjeet Singh (Web Developer), Dr. Madan Singh Aulakh (Academician), Shiv Dayal (UX Designer), Abhay Vohra (UX Practitioner), and many students from Design and Engineering.

Vineet Raj Kapoor (Indian IDT Expert Worldskills, and Founder Chandigarh Design School) shared “iXDA Chandigarh is committed to bring together trainers and practitioners of UXD and IXD together. We also need to bring awareness to the learners community.”

Ajay Srivastava, Director STPI Mohali, commented “We are excited to be part of the community building and were happy to support Vineet and his team in the great initiative. I think we have seen Vineet contribute a lot over the past decades in the fields of design, animation and innovation. I am so happy that UX Design in Chandigarh is now going to witness a lot of quality inputs through such events.”

Chandigarh Design School Founder speaks at Peruvanam International Film Festival at Kerala

Chandigarh Design School founder Vineet Raj Kapoor was invited by PIVF Organising Committee to join the Panel Discussion on “The Possibilities in Media” at Peruvanam International Film Festival at Thrissur, Kerela. The Festival was held from 5-7 January 2024.

The Event was Hosted by Praveen Paramesawar. Vineet Raj Kapoor (Indian IDT Expert Worldskills, and Founder Chandigarh Design School) shared the dias with Ashish Kulkarni (Founder Punnaryug), Mohit Soni (CEO, MESC), Hanif Mohammad Marakkarackayil (Founder Asian School of Design), Sarath Bhooshan (CEO, Bhooshan’s Jr), Philip Thomas (Country Head, World Design Council), and Shajan Kumar (Dean, Mathrubhumi Media School).

Various aspects discussed including the gap between the Industry and the Academia, the impact of AI, how technology impacts art et al. Commenting on the impact of Technology, Vineet shared, “Technology is created in an answer to the gaps, so it is never art that is catching up, but it is technology. Art in it’s zest jumps ahead creating gaps just like the Mendeleev’s table, and it is for us, to find the technology that can meet the expectations and fill the gaps.

Commenting on AI, Vineet said, “AI is not capable of thinking ahead. It is instead a good servant who can do repetitive tasks with the accuracy unknown to man. However, it is incapable of decisions.”

sued by GAFX, Bengaluru (Games, Animation and Visual Effects). an annual event in Karnataka, supported by the Government of Karnataka, aims to enrich the local artistic community. The event successfully conducted panel discussions, pitches to top studios, and live competitions, showcased in the GAFX 2022 Official Showreel.  This list was showcased during the GAFX Event at Bengaluru. This is the first time someone from North India has been included in a Top 100 AVGC list. GAFX took place from 29-31 January 2024.

 Vineet Raj Kapoor Founder of SXILL and Chandigarh Design School and has served the student community of North India for more than 28 years. Besides he leads the Indian AVGC Delegation to ACE Fair, South Korea every year. He is currently India’s IDT Expert for Worldskills besides mentoring 1000s of students to success in the fields of Animation, Graphics, UXUI Design and Gaming.

Applauding his achievement SXILL Founder Neelu Kapoor mentioned, “Vineet’s work for the Indian AVGC Industry is amazing. More than that 1000s of students have found success through his personal advice and guidance. Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder Chandigarh Design School, told the students about various Design Careers as well as how to make their own roadmaps to achieve success in those careers. He briefed the student on how decision making permeates all careers and would be a useful addition to any worthwhile career.

Thereafter the students asked about various careers in their mind right from mimicry to storywriting to animation to UX design and got clear roadmaps as well as advice to make a success of their dreams through examples behind the success stories of Steve Jobs, and other leaders.

SAE Dubai signs MoU with SXILL and Chandigarh Design School

rstanding with SAE Dubai (a reputed University at Dubai) recently at SAE’s Dubai Campus World leading Design Institute SAE’s Dubai Campus has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Chandigarh Design School and SXILL.

While taking the Founders on a Tour of their beautiful campus located at Dubai Knowledge Park (near Palm Jumeirah) at Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Mr. Jan Horn remarked that with this initiative SAE is happy to step forward in the field of Design Thinking and UX UI design with the expertise of Chandigarh Design School and SXILL in the field of Design to deliver courses at their Dubai and Abu Dhabi campuses.

Under the arrangement SXILL and Chandigarh Design School shall be delivering classes for students enrolled by SAE, Dubai, in the highly specialized field of Design Thinking. This would be a great step for India’s Design Community into International Education. Erstwhile, Indian Design community engaged foreign professors, or foreign degree tieups to send their students abroad or exchange students. It is rare for foreigners to look to India to study (except for 3rd world countries). With this step SXILL steps into the International education sector on a strong footing.

Vineet Raj is currently highly involved in the Design and Innovation space as India’s nominated Expert for Worldskills competition and nominated Lead Expert by Worldskills International, amongst other duties. Speaking on the occasion he shared, “It is my dream to see Indian Innovation take a central place in the scheme of things across the world. need to build a complete ecosystem of innovation, and see that these innovation see the light of the day based on their viability. More companies need to come forward and adopt these kids into their ecosystem and nurture them. I am sure, it would be a win-win situation for both. We are helping out our local industry improve their designs and have been contacted by many original equipment manufacturers for this. We are open to helping out our competitors and peers implement this methodology at their Universities and Institutions. Our students have worked at the Top in leading organizations including Ericson, Sony, Yatra.com, Gaana.com as well as Directed top animated shows like ‘Motu Patlu’ and even independent artists like Sukh-E the singer amongst others. Our alumnus own leading IT companies in the region like Intelligaia, Trabug, Creative Peppers etc.”

Prof. Vineet Raj Kapoor, SXILL was also invited by FICCI in 2022 to represent the Indian Angle to Dubai Expo for the Round Table on “Fostering Skilling ecosystem by exchange of Knowledge, service & resources” Media & Entertainment Skills Council, (MESC), one the pioneer council for skill training for M&E domain, hosted the Industry-Academia round table discussion in association with FICCI in Dubai. He also was the Invited as the International Key Speaker at World Design Organization backed event at Moscow, Russia on World Design Day on 29 June 2022 and Serious Play Conference at Toronto in Oct 2023. He also featured as a prescreening jury for Smart India Hackathon 2022 (India), Eurasian Future Skills Competition (Russia), and Khabarovsk International Competition (Khabarovsk), BRICS Future Skills Challenge (China) amongst others
