We at SXILL and Chandigarh Design School are happy to represent India once again! Our founder was invited to visit Federal Siberian University for interaction with the students of Industrial Design. Organized by Promdiz.Space as International Conference on Industrial Design at Krasnoyarsk, Siberia on 12-14 November 2025. 

On Nov 14, 2025, Vineet Raj Kapoor visited the Federal Siberian University with all other Expert Speakers (incidentally children's day in India). He was amazed and felt humbled when the students surrounded him for my autograph and comments. He was happy to help them get feedback on their projects and portfolios. This visit was organised as part of the Promdiz.Space Event at Krasnoyarsk. Students are the same all over the world! A little kindness, few gentle words of motivation and they open up!

PromDiz 2025 is a major professional platform that has brought together leaders in industrial design, the manufacturing sector, educational institutions, and government agencies for the third year in a row. The event fosters dialogue between theory and practice, academic knowledge and market demands, local initiatives and global trends.

Odisha Skills 2025 Vineet Raj Kapoor has been invited by Odisha Skill Development Mission invited as Chief Expert Jury and Skill Competition Manager for Odisha Skills 2025. Vineet Raj Kapoor had been the Chief Expert Jury and Skill Competition Manager for Industrial Design Technology and for Graphic Design Technology in Odisha Skills 2023 as well.

Vineet Raj Kapoor invited as Chief Expert (DIMD) for IndiaSkills Regionals (North East) 2025. Vineet Raj Kapoor had been the Chief Expert at Nationals in 2022, 2024 and at Regionals in 2022 (Regionals were not held in 2024) and for Track 2 as well. Besides this he has served as Chief Expert at different State Competitions for Odisha, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh multiple times. He has been involved in multiple skills besides IDT - like DIMD, GDT and 3DDGA.

Chandigarh, 24 Feb 2026 – Indian IDT Expert Vineet Raj Kapoor nominated as Chief Expert (Industrial Design Technology) at Indiaskills Regional NE 2025-26 (21-24 Feb 2026)

The IndiaSkills East Regional Competition serves as a vital scouting ground for the nation’s most promising technical talent. This year, SXILL’s influence on the national stage was further solidified as our founder, Vineet Raj Kapoor, successfully completed his tenure as the Chief Expert for Industrial Design Technology (IDT) for the Eastern region.

Organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the competition held in the East showcased a surge in innovation from states like Odisha and Bihar. As Chief Expert, Vineet Raj Kapoor was responsible for:

Standardizing Evaluation: Aligning regional judging criteria with international WorldSkills
Technical Oversight: Managing the workflow for CAD (Computer-Aided Design), 3D rendering, and physical prototyping modules.
Mentorship: Guiding the jury to identify designers who balance aesthetic form with manufacturable function.

The East Regionals proved that Indian youth are ready to compete on a global scale. SXILL’s leadership in these events ensures that our own students are trained using the exact same world-class standards used to judge the nation’s best.

Chandigarh Design School (School of Experience Illusion and Life Learnings) founded by Technocrat Ms. Neelu Kapoor and Worldskills Design Mentor Prof. Vineet Raj Kapoor was selected by Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha Skills Councils to train and mentor India’s Indiaskills candidates for Industrial Design Technology and Digital Interactive Media Design for Indiaskills Nationals. These candidates were Gold and Silver Position holders in their respective Regionals. now being trained at Chandigarh Design School at Chandigarh. The candidates come from leading Design Institutes like NID Ahmedabad, NIFT Mumbai, NID Bhopal, CTTC Bhubaneswar, Atlas University, Mumbai, DOT Design School, Chennai, among others

Speaking on the occasion, the Founder Vineet Raj Kapoor, Chief Expert (DIMD) and Chief Expert (IDT) and various Regionals and State Competitions and Lead Expert Worldskills France (Industrial Design) for Indiaskills said “I am fortunate to work with these top students and find it invigorating to help them grasp the nuances of design and giving them tips to score points at Worldskills. It is a challenge since they have studied under the best of teachers and mentors of India. However, we have developed a very good rapport and they find learning at SXILL equally rewarding. SXILL students have worked at the Top in leading organizations including Sony, Yatra.com, Gaana.com as well as Directed top animated shows like ‘Motu Patlu’ and even independent artists like Sukh-E the singer amongst others. SXILL students own leading IT companies in the region like Intelligaia, Trabug, Creative Peppers etc.”

Chandigarh Design School Founder Invited as Mentor by AIC-NMIMS Startup Summer School

Chandigarh, India | June 2026

Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder of Chandigarh Design School and a leading mentor in Design Thinking, Product Design, UI/UX Design, and Innovation Education, has been invited by the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC-NMIMS) to mentor participants at the Startup Summer School 2026, an immersive entrepreneurship program being conducted at the NMIMS Chandigarh Campus.

Established under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Government of India, AIC-NMIMS has supported more than 180 startups across diverse sectors and has emerged as a significant contributor to India's innovation and startup ecosystem.

The Startup Summer School is a seven-day experiential learning program designed for students from Grades 8 to 12, introducing them to entrepreneurship, innovation, startup creation, business leadership, and problem-solving methodologies.

As part of the program, Vineet Raj Kapoor conducted a special mentoring session on:

"Diving Deep into Prototyping"

The session focused on the importance of prototyping as a critical step in the innovation process. Participants were introduced to methods used by product designers, startup founders, UI/UX designers, and entrepreneurs to transform ideas into tangible solutions through rapid experimentation and iterative development.

Speaking about the engagement, Vineet Raj Kapoor said:

"Innovation begins when ideas move beyond discussion and become something that can be tested, evaluated, and improved. Prototyping allows young innovators to learn quickly, fail safely, and build confidence in their problem-solving abilities. It is encouraging to see students at such a young age being exposed to entrepreneurship and design-led innovation."

With over three decades of experience in design education, skill development, and creative industries, Kapoor has mentored students, startups, educators, and WorldSkills competitors across multiple disciplines including UI/UX Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Animation, Digital Media, and Design Thinking.

Through Chandigarh Design School and SXILL, he has actively promoted industry-aligned learning and innovation-driven education.
