ACE Fair was held on 26-29 September 2024 at Kimdaejung Centre, Gwangju, South Korea.

The Indian Delegation led by Vineet Raj Kapoor (Founder SXILL & Chandigarh Design School) had delegates from Media Guru, Mumbai (Subhashish Mazumdar), Powertoons, Hyderabad (Ashish Saxena), MESC India, New Delhi (Roshni Sehgal), Mugafi, Mumbai (Vipul Aggarwal & Tansha Batra), Elle Animation, Bhubhaneshwar (Chandrashekhar Bhuyan & Santosh Reddy), Ssoftoons Entertainment and Media, Kolkata (Hansa & Sourav Mondal), Just VFX, Hyderabad (Sridhar Reddy), Snipix, Hyderabad (Chilamkurthi Vamsi), Start Animation, Hyderabad (Rakesh) and Khaja Vali (TVAGA, Hyderabad) were part of the large delegation from India by Virtualsoft. Other Indian studios were Bhasinsoft Studios, Alliance Studios, Aha, and Crossover Studios. 

TVAGA pavillion was part of the Indian delegation and helped smaller Studios from Telengana showcase their work and get exposure about international markets. Indians represented one of the largest International contingents at ACE Fair this time. 

Start Animation Studios, India signed an MoU with an International Studio on 27 Sep, 2024 during the MoU signing ceremony. 

The Studios had between 12-20 pre-arranged B2B meetings each. Each participating studio was picked up (and dropped back) from Incheon Airport, Seoul and provided with a full time interpreter as well as a free ticket to the CDC Conference. They were also invited to a grand welcome party on the opening day. 

On Day 3, the Studios were all invited to a city tour to Gwangju Biennale, and after a sumptuous Bibimbap lunch at a traditional Korean restaurant went to visit Yangnim Dong Culture Village. 

The night time was a time of bonding with other Indian Studios and helped them understand each other’s capabilities and possibilities of collaboration.

Your contributions in the fields of animation and content have helped to promote cultural and business exchanges between Korea and India. I hope to continue building on this collaboration in the future.”

Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder SXILL, Chandigarh, and Leader of the Indian Delegation, commented, “I am really happy that we have been able to support the Indian Animation community with their international marketing in South East Asia. I am especially happy that every year we have been able to guide and expose many smaller Studios to learn the approach to get their IPs to foreign markets.”

Subhashish Muzumdar, CEO, Media Guru, Mumbai, was delighted to share, “This is my second visit to ACE Fair. I am really excited by the quality of organization and detail of planning at ACE Fair, which enables us to plan all our meetings well. Virtualsoft has done a lot to bring ACE Fair to India over the last many years. It has lead to the exposure of Indians to Korean culture and content and vice versa.”

Ashish Saxena of Powerkids, Hyderabad, mentions, “This was my first time at ACE Fair and I was able to have some useful meetings right away. The Fair had something for all Exhibitors if they had done their homework. I found Gwangju to be a neat place with enjoyable evenings, making boding with other Indian Studios easy.”
