Chandigarh Design School (School of Experience Illusion and Life Learnings) founded by Technocrat Ms. Neelu Kapoor and Worldskills Design Mentor Prof. Vineet Raj Kapoor was selected by Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha Skills Councils to train and mentor India’s Indiaskills candidates for Industrial Design Technology and Digital Interactive Media Design for Indiaskills Nationals. These candidates were Gold and Silver Position holders in their respective Regionals. now being trained at Chandigarh Design School at Chandigarh. The candidates come from leading Design Institutes like NID Ahmedabad, NIFT Mumbai, NID Bhopal, CTTC Bhubaneswar, Atlas University, Mumbai, DOT Design School, Chennai, among others

Speaking on the occasion, the Founder Vineet Raj Kapoor, Chief Expert (DIMD) and Chief Expert (IDT) and various Regionals and State Competitions and Lead Expert Worldskills France (Industrial Design) for Indiaskills said “I am fortunate to work with these top students and find it invigorating to help them grasp the nuances of design and giving them tips to score points at Worldskills. It is a challenge since they have studied under the best of teachers and mentors of India. However, we have developed a very good rapport and they find learning at SXILL equally rewarding. SXILL students have worked at the Top in leading organizations including Sony, Yatra.com, Gaana.com as well as Directed top animated shows like ‘Motu Patlu’ and even independent artists like Sukh-E the singer amongst others. SXILL students own leading IT companies in the region like Intelligaia, Trabug, Creative Peppers etc.”

Chandigarh, 24 Feb 2026 – Indian IDT Expert Vineet Raj Kapoor nominated as Chief Expert (Industrial Design Technology) at Indiaskills Regional NE 2025-26 (21-24 Feb 2026)

The IndiaSkills East Regional Competition serves as a vital scouting ground for the nation’s most promising technical talent. This year, SXILL’s influence on the national stage was further solidified as our founder, Vineet Raj Kapoor, successfully completed his tenure as the Chief Expert for Industrial Design Technology (IDT) for the Eastern region.

Organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the competition held in the East showcased a surge in innovation from states like Odisha and Bihar. As Chief Expert, Vineet Raj Kapoor was responsible for:

Standardizing Evaluation: Aligning regional judging criteria with international WorldSkills
Technical Oversight: Managing the workflow for CAD (Computer-Aided Design), 3D rendering, and physical prototyping modules.
Mentorship: Guiding the jury to identify designers who balance aesthetic form with manufacturable function.

The East Regionals proved that Indian youth are ready to compete on a global scale. SXILL’s leadership in these events ensures that our own students are trained using the exact same world-class standards used to judge the nation’s best.
