PEC Chandigarh ties up with SXILL to deliver Animation Course

PEC Chandigarh has tied up with SXILL to deliver a course in Animation to it’s BDes 2nd Year Students. The course covers the entire spectrum of Graphic Design and Animation.

Founder Vineet Raj Kapoor delivered the keynote session to introduce the course and it’s expanse to the students on 20 Jan 2025. He was joined by the UI Expert Sakshi Sharma who shall be part of the delivery. This brings the extraordinary research of SXILL in the field of Design and Animation education nearer to students outside of SXILL. He lauded PEC Chandigarh for this extraordinary step.

Centre of Excellence at PEC Campus alongwith the Centre for Skill Development and the Design department under the Industrial and Production Engineering School of PEC came together to make this possible. This course shall be delivered from January to April 2025 at the PEC Campus.

Vineet Raj Kapoor, India’s Expert on Industrial Design Technology for Worldskills apprised the students on various aspects of Graphic Design and it’s applications and how it finally leads to knowledge and careers in Design. He elaborated the mindset required for success in the Design field. Being a practitioner and trainer of UX Design and Design Thinking since 2014, I am aware of the huge gap between theory and practice that exists in India even in the top institutes.” He quipped, “Don’t worry all this would be part of my upcoming book – SOLVXD: Think in Steps – that would be coming out soon.

Neelu Kapoor (Indiaskills Graphic Design Technology Jury) and Founder SXILL mentioned, “This was the first time SXILL was invited to PEC Chandigarh for delivering the course in Animation, and we are quite excited by the quality of the talented students of PEC Chandigarh. Vineet Raj Kapoor is a Certified Trainer for UIUX Design Qualification Pack from NASSCOM / IT-ITES under NSDC Skill India.

In the present scenario of industrialization; particularly in the engineering field, requirements of specialized tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, moulds, gauges and other precision components are indispensable. Simultaneously demand for quality Tool makers, Tool & Product Designers, Skilled manufacturers, PLC & Industrial Automation engineers and Maintenance Engineers is also growing rapidly. Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar is one of such training, production, design and consultancy centre established in technical cooperation programme between Govt. of India & Govt. of Denmark to meet the above requirements.
