SXILL Founder attends Film Art Hongkong

Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre Hong Kong

SXILL Founder attended the Hong Kong Filmart 2025 from 17-20 March 2025 at Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

Vineet Raj Kapoor (Indian IDT Expert Worldskills, and Founder SXILL) shared “Participating at Film Art helped me meet people from the Film and Animation Industry across the world. It allows me to take a peek at where storytelling is moving. Just to cite an example, 3-5 minute dramas are in, and long format is losing pace. This allows small producers also to step in and create a space for themselves, and allows artists to share their work through Instagram and other new mediums.”

“I was happy to also meet artists and film makers from Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi. Filmart gave me an opportunity to connect better.” He added.

Hong Kong FILMART is Asia's largest entertainment marketplace, held annually in Hong Kong and organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). It's a major event for industry professionals, facilitating deals, networking, and promotion of films, TV shows, and other media. FILMART also includes the Hong Kong–Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF), which focuses on co-production ventures.

Neelu Kapoor (Indiaskills Graphic Design Technology Jury) and Founder SXILL thanked “Vineet has always been part of the artist community and has helped many small studios understand the international markets. This knowledge also helps students at SXILL understand the world.”

SXILL has a very detailed Training Program in Animation Upskilling comparable with the best in the world. Many Alumnus of SXILL today work at the highest level at Top Indian and International Animation Studios like Framestore, Dreamworks, 88Pictures, Xentrix, Technicolor, PhilmCGI, Assemblage, Cosmos Maya, Greengold, Micros, Lakshya Digital, Digitoonz etc.

Keynote Speaker at Gamification Conference at DES Pune University

Chandigarh Design School Founder Vineet Raj Kapoor delivered his keynote speech at the International Conference on “Activity Based Language Learning: Challenges and Opportunities” that was organized by DES Pune University in collaboration with ICSSR and Coolture Desighns Pvt. Ltd. on 7 February 2025. The topic for the Panel discussion was Gamification in Education and Knowledge Systems.

Conference was attended by about 100+ Faculty and Students across India.

Vineet Raj Kapoor (IDT Lead Expert Worldskills representing India, and Founder SXILL and Chandigarh Design School) while sharing valuable insights into Gamification, he said,”Gamification is often used an excuse to micromanage learning. It defeats the entire purpose of gamification. Rather one should always be mindful of the core attributes of Gamification like Volunteerism, Choices, Willingness, etc. He also said that the Game Mechanics should be very simple and consist of very few elements like in Chess, or sports like Badminton. He said the Leaderboards and Feedbacks were the Killer Features of Gamification and should be implemented in the right manner for engagement to happen. Right to Learn is a great concept that I have often used to bring determination to the table. Story is an optional feature, but used well, it can enhance the quality of learning. He quipped, “Don’t worry all this would be part of my upcoming book – SOLVXD: Think in Steps – that would be coming out soon.

Neelu Kapoor (Indiaskills Graphic Design Technology Jury) and Founder SXILL mentioned, “This was the third time Chandigarh Design School tendered a Faculty Development Program at Pune University. Earlier we have done programs for Thapar University, Chitkara University, GNDU, Panjab University among others. We are also doing international Programs in Design Thinking with leading institutions abroad. We are aware that training a faculty is much more important as it can directly impact the lives of 1000s of students.”
