Chandigarh Design School Founder invited to ISART Digital Paris

Chandigarh, 16 Sep 2024 – Chandigarh Design School Founder, and SXILL Cofounder Vineet Raj Kapoor was Invited to visit world’s top Gaming and Animation Schools, ISART Digital at Paris, France for a discussion meeting with the Director International Collaborations Mr. Azad Lusbaronian. ISART is one the top Gaming and Animation Schools of France. Vineet Raj Kapoor was personally given a complete campus tour at ISART by the Director (International Collaborations).

Vineet Raj Kapoor shares, “I have known Azad for more than a decade. I was lucky to catch him finally at ISART. It was a great discussion about Animation and Game Design, and it’s future course. We discussed pedagogy and learning pathways. This would open pathways for SXILL and Chandigarh Design Students to learn at ISART, and ISART students to take advantage of our pedagogy one day.”

Azad Lusbaronian commented, “I was surprised by the fabulous pedagogy at SXILL and Chandigarh Design School, which is quite a unique way to learn, I don’t think I have come across such an elaborate pedagogy in Animation and Gaming Sector elsewhere.”

Chief Expert at Indiaskills Nationals, Yashobhoomi, New Delhi

On invitation from NSDC and MESC, for Indiaskills, Vineet Raj Kapoor (Founder Chandigarh Design School), is nominated as Skill Competition Manager and Chief Expert in Industrial Design Technology for Indiaskills Nationals 2024 held from 16-18 May 2024. He is responsible to oversee the selection of candidates to select the candidate representation from India for the Worldskills 2024, Lyons, France. The event takes place at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Experts from across the country would be part of the Skill Management Team. The Jury included Mr. Karthik from Autodesk, Dr. Ravindra Singh from Delhi Technical University, Mr. Vikash Kumar from Shiv Nadar University, and Raunaq Dua from Curiosity 3D.

The Inauguration took place at the Convention Hall at Yashobhoomi on 15 May 2024. The competition commenced on 16 May till 18 May 2024. The Event culminated with the Closing ceremony on 19 May 2024. The Winner would represent India at Worldskills France in September 2024.

Vineet Raj Kapoor (IDT Lead Expert Worldskills representing India, and Founder SXILL and Chandigarh Design School) shared “Training Faculty from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology also popularly known as Thapar University was a wonderful opportunity. The Faculty Development Program happened on 21 May 2024. We took care to equip them with enough examples and cases so as to be able to retain the information and put it in perspective since Design Thinking is a complex subject and is largely misrepresented. We trained them in various approaches to Design Thinking, and especially sensitized and trained them in the toughest field of empathetic thinking, since that is what most UX Designers in India lack. Being a practitioner and trainer of UX Design and Design Thinking since 2014, I feel responsible for the state of UIUX Design in India. Despite our best efforts, a large swathe of Industry as well as trainers are unaware of the possibilities of UX Design and think about it as a burden. We are doing our best to rectify the situation by giving great manpower to the starved Software Industry in India.” He quipped, “Don’t worry all this would be part of my upcoming book – SOLVXD: Think in Steps – that would be coming out soon.

Earlier we have done programs for Pune University, Chitkara University, GNDU, Panjab University among others. We are also doing international Programs in Design Thinking with leading institutions abroad. We are aware that training a faculty is much more important as it can directly impact the lives of 100s of students.”

Indian IDT Expert Vineet Raj Kapoor selected Expert Lead for Worldskills Skill Management Team.

Chandigarh Design School Founder, and SXILL Cofounder Vineet Raj Kapoor is India’s Worldskills Expert for Industrial Design Technology. Vineet Raj Kapoor was selected as India’s Expert in 2022 and had selected and trained India’s Competitors for the Worldskills 2023. These competitors came from NID Ahmedabad, MIT Pune and other colleges of India.

He continues to help Indiaskills find India’s best design talents in IDT, by helping design and conduct tests as well as train students.

He has been selected to be a part of the Worlskills Skill Management Team for IDT. The Skill Management Team is formed of select experts from different nations, and they collaborate to work towards having a successful Worldskills competition. They are involved in various aspect of the conduction of the Skill Competition. The current Skill Management Team in Worldskills IDT consists of Experts from China, Taiwan, Korea and India.

Applauding his achievement SXILL Founder Neelu Kapoor mentioned, “Vineet’s zeal to work with students is unbeatable. He is able to get to their level and simplify things. The candidates trained by him performed exceptionally well in Indian and International Competitions. I am confident that he would help India finish on the podium at Worldskills 2024 at France.”

“Whether I work with my own students or the top students of India nominated by the government, my training methodology remains the same. Help students understand how they are going to be judged and they develop them to maximize they response to each aspect of every criterion of judgement. There is no space to lose even a single point in international competition, since they are about the process, and the students who stick to the basics emerge at the top.” Said Vineet Raj Kapoor, when asked about the competition preparation. “Right now we are busy with scouting the best talent of India.”

WorldSkills Lyon 2024 is set to take place 10-15 September 2024, following the postponement of the 46th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. France won the bid to host the 47th WorldSkills Competition at WorldSkills General Assembly 2019 in Kazan, Russia.
It is the second time for France and Lyon to be the host in the history of the international championship. The 33rd WorldSkills Competition previously took place in 1995 at EUREXPO Lyon, the same venue that will now host WorldSkills Lyon 2024.
WorldSkills Competition Lyon 2024 is a strong commitment to youth and their future which generates unprecedented international mobilization around skills, competences and excellence.
Despite the one-year postponement of the competition due to the pandemic, the plan to host the global competition remains the same: to inspire young people in skills, promote skills and change the perception on vocational education and training.
WorldSkills Lyon 2024 is also a national project centered around the regions, in particular the Metropolis of Lyon. It will be THE springboard and catalyst to develop and promote professional training adapted to current and future needs in terms of employment.
The competition and Team WorldSkills France, which both are a result of the mobilization of regions and the commitment of partners to WorldSkills France, are the first vectors of inspiration for young people and a tangible proof for the next generations of the relevance of skills and competences in a career and personal life with high potential.

Asifa International Animation Day celebrations at PGGCG 11 in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 8 Feb 2024 – ASIFA presented the IAD Event at PPG College for Girls at Sec 11 on 8 Feb 2024, co-presented by ASIFA Evangelist Vineet Raj Kapoor, alongwith the leading UX Design Institute Chandigarh Design School, and leading Animation Institute SXILL, and supported by AnimationXpress, Workkonnects, MESC, ACE Fair, iXDA. ASIFA is an International Community of Animation, with a mission of creating awareness of Animation Careers amongst students.

PGGC 46 hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 31 Jan 2024. PGGCG 42 successfully hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 1 Feb 2024. PGGCG 11 successfully hosted ASIFA International Animation Day at the campus on 8 Feb 2024.

The Speakers were Mangat Chauhan (Sr. Animation Supervisor Motu Patlu and Mentor SXILL) and Vineet Raj Kapoor (UX Design Mentor at Chandigarh Design School).

Neelu Kapoor, Founder SXILL graced the occasion with her presence.

Bikramjit Singh (Production Head, Virtualsoft) shared the History of ASIFA and it’s mission. He commented on how ASIFA works hard to bring awareness about these careers across the world. ASIFA Chandigarh has been conducting various seminars across the city to do it’s part.

Mangat Chauhan briefed the students about the entire animation pipeline and various career opportunities across the entire process of making animation movies.

Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder Chandigarh Design School, told the students about various Design Careers as well as how to make their own roadmaps to achieve success in those careers. He briefed the student on how decision making permeates all careers and would be a useful addition to any worthwhile career.

Thereafter the students asked about various careers in their mind right from mimicry to storywriting to animation to UX design and got clear roadmaps as well as advice to make a success of their dreams through examples behind the success stories of Steve Jobs, and other leaders.
