We are at this cusp of change, where we are not aware on which side the fabled camel would sit (oont kis karvat baithega). But of course, wherever it sits, that side would get totally wiped out. Moving far from the camel is not an option. An agile vigil is the only recourse.

At this crucial juncture, it is very important that some of us follow the disruption at least as a custodian of our industry and try to see far enough to guide our industry as well as our coming generations about the shifts in industry and jobs. Ministry of Education – AICTE – IDE Bootcamp

SXILL/ Chandigarh Design School Founder, Vineet Raj Kapoor has been invited by Ministry of Education, Govt of India, to conduct a session on "Understanding needs of the User-Ergonomics evaluation and testing" on the 1st Day of the Bootcamp on 22 June 2023 at NITTR Chandigarh. AICTE and Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) are jointly organizing Five day Bootcamp on “Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE)”. This bootcamp is conceptualized based on suggestion from Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and it is tentatively scheduled from 22nd June to 26th June 2023 at 6 locations i.e IIT Bhubaneswar, NITTTR Chennai, NITTTR Chandigarh, IIT Guwahati, IISER Bhopal and COEP Technological University ,Pune

This innovative IDE bootcamp will be a 5 day residential training program where 1800 participants (@300 per host institute) will undergo an intensive experiential learning on design thinking, product design, ergonomics, business modeling and enterprise planning.

The tentative participants (300 in No's) of the IDE bootcamp constitute of College/ School Student Innovators, College/ School Innovation/ Entrepreneurship Mentors.

SXILL Annual Convocation
SXILL took a giant step in Hosting the first ever SXILL Convocation for NSDC/ MESC QP Certification. This was done in order to step up the value of Skill Certification, and distill honor amongst Artists. It was held on 26 August 2023 at SXILL. An MESC Certification is a Government recognition of the training Quality and would be useful for the students in the long run.

Industry Leader Mr. Pradeep CEO of Incredimate was the Guest of Honor for 3D Modeller as well as Animator QP at the Convocation. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the students as well as the faculty at SXILL. He was overjoyed with the tour of the facility. He shared his our life journey as well as inspired the students with tips for success in life as an animator.

Pooja Arora, Head North Region for MESC (Media and Entertainment Skill Council) was the Guest of Honor for Graphic Designer QP at the Convocation. She shared her experiences of working alongside the Experts at SXILL during Indiaskills in 2021-2022. She found that the Expertise at SXILL was way above that she normally finds at training institutes. She also shared information about Worldskills with the students and also MECAT and other initiatives being taken by MESC to encourage designers.

The names of the graduates were announced by respective Heads of Program and Indiaskills Experts Mr. Parminder Singh (Modeller and Animator QP) and Bikramjit Singh (Graphic Designer QP).
Neelu Kapoor (Indian Graphics Expert Indiaskills, and Founder SXILL) shared “I am happy that the students got their Certificates directly from the Industry Experts. I am sure this moment will be remembered by them for years. Also MESC has been a great support for us in bringing quality education to the students of India. I thank Mr. Pradeep and Ms Pooja for gracing the occasion.”

Vineet to lead Indian Delegation to South Korea ACE Fair 2023

Vineet Raj Kapoor, is nominated for 7th time in a row to Head the Indian Delegation of Film Makers, Producers, Financiers, Animations and Game Designers to ACE Fair, Gwangju South Korea. ACE Fair is promoted by the Korean Government, and is considered the biggest Contents Fair of Asia. The Fair is being held from 14-17  September 2023.

The Participation Fee was reduced for Indian Delegation and further incentives were added for Group, Reparticipants, and Women Entrepreneurs. Chandigarh Design School founder Vineet Raj Kapoor delivered Faculty Development Program at Chitkara University on Design Thinking – Finding the Right Problem to Solve.

Computer Science Engineering Department at Chitkara University, held a Faculty Development Program on 15-16 September 2023 under a Infosys-Apple Partnership for Innovation. They invited renowned Speaker and Design Thinking Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder, Chandigarh Design School.

This Program was attended by all Faculty Associated with Innovation in the App Space.

Spread over 2 Days the Program delved into the Way Humans Think, and right upto how we can use established techniques to understand the users, and find out enough about them and the issues they face, to be able to locate the real issue that needs to be solved.

Vineet Raj Kapoor (Indian IDT Expert Worldskills, and Founder Chandigarh Design School) shared “I am happy to get involved with the CSE department as the impact of the learning would directly reach the innovators in the digital app space. We covered the approach to Divergent Thinking and User Research for finding the pain points. And then techniques to converge the thinking towards defining the problem. Problems once identified can be solved easily.”

Dr. Ankit Bansal who heads the Innovation Program said “This was a excellent exposure with really good insights into the process. Earlier we would go directly to building the apps on what we thought was the issue. But this has widened our horizon. We have understood how much research must be done before attempting the solution. The Team at Chandigarh Design School is really good!”
