Vineet Raj Kapoor Invited as Industrial Design Expert for International Professional Skills Championship 2026 at Kaluga

Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder of Chandigarh Design School and former Chief Expert for Industrial Design Technology (IDT), has been invited by the Institute for the Development of Professional Education, Russian Federation, to participate as an Industrial Design Expert at the international industrial finals of the Professional Skills Championship “Professionals 2026”, scheduled to be held in Kaluga, Russia, from 19–27 August 2026.

The invitation has been extended by the federal operator of the All-Russian Championship Movement in Professional Skills, one of Russia’s largest skill excellence initiatives focused on strengthening technical education, advanced manufacturing competencies, and international collaboration in vocational education.
The championship will be hosted at the Federal Technopark of Vocational Education, Kaluga, and will bring together competitors, expert mentors, delegates, industry representatives, and education leaders from multiple countries.
The event focuses on skills aligned with high-technology manufacturing, the digital economy, and future workforce requirements. Competitions will be conducted across fourteen disciplines including Industrial Design, Industrial Robotics, Mechatronics, Additive Manufacturing, Electrical Installation, Welding Technologies, Space Systems Engineering, Optoelectronics, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Repair, and several other advanced manufacturing skills.
As an invited Industrial Design Expert, Vineet Raj Kapoor will contribute his expertise in evaluating design competencies, engaging with international experts, and participating in discussions around the future of technical and vocational education.
Speaking about the invitation, Kapoor said:

Kapoor has been actively involved with national and international skill excellence initiatives for several years. He has served as Chief Expert and mentor for Industrial Design Technology and has trained medal-winning competitors across multiple skills including Industrial Design Technology, Digital Interactive Media Design, Graphic Design Technology, and 3D Digital Game Art.
Through Chandigarh Design School and SXILL, he has consistently advocated for stronger integration of design education, vocational skills, manufacturing, innovation, and entrepreneurship. His work has focused on preparing students and young professionals for careers in Product Design, Industrial Design, User Experience Design, Digital Product Development, and emerging creative technologies.
The invitation further strengthens the international recognition of Indian expertise in Industrial Design and skill development. It also reflects the growing importance of global collaboration in preparing future-ready professionals capable of addressing challenges in manufacturing, technology, sustainability, and innovation.
The Professional Skills Championship “Professionals 2026” will include competitive events, expert discussions, business forums, technology showcases, and international cooperation sessions focused on workforce development, education, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration.
